Description
Summary:[Display omitted] •MWCNTs supported metal nanoparticles catalyzed C-C and C-X coupling reactions.•Excellent catalytic activities.•Easily isolable from the reaction medium.•Reused many times with a considerable efficiency. Metal Nanoparticles (MNP) supported MWCNTs catalyzed C-C and C-X (X = N, O, S) coupling reactions possess significant attention in organocatalytic synthesis because of their remarkable usefulness in the preparation of compounds having biological relevance. In this review article, an array of MNPs immobilized MWCNTs nanocomposites with wide variety of surface architecture towards different coupling reactions in a sustainable pathway has been recollected. They exhibited outstanding catalytic performances in the C–C and C–heteroatom bond formation. These composite materials are isolated easily from the reaction mixture and can be recycled several times with reproducible activity. In this brief review we wish to represent the scopes and benefits of surface engineered CNTs in different organic cross coupling reactions.
