Description
Summary:This work reports on the synthesis and characterization of Zn1−xMnxTe nanocrystals (NCs) with Mn doping concentration x varying from 0.000 to 0.800. Physical properties of samples were studied by transmission electron microscopy, magnetic force microscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry and electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy. Room temperature experiments revealed the size of NCs, the growth of magnetization and non-linear dependence of magnetic susceptibility on the concentration of Mn2+ ions; samples with low concentrations revealed the presence of ions in the interior and near the surface of the NCs. The results obtained confirm the paramagnetic behavior of Zn1−xMnxTe NCs at room temperature. [Display omitted]
