Description
Summary:Optically good quality single crystals of l-argininium formate ( l-Arg.HCOOH abbreviated as LAF) of dimensions up to 11×8×6 mm 3 are grown employing slow evaporation technique at room temperature. These crystals were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, Fourier transform infrared and UV–VIS–NIR spectral studies. The thermal stability of the crystal is investigated using thermo-gravimetric analysis studies. The hardness anisotropy of the sample is confirmed by Vickers hardness studies done on (1 0 0), (0 1 0) and (0 0 1) orientations.
