Description
Summary:The thermoluminescence properties of optimum zinc borate silica ZBS glass sample doped with various concentrations of Cu2O were studied. TL response is enhanced by doping ZBS glass samples with different concentrations of Cu2O. The sample with 0.005% Cu2O concentration has a higher TL response among the concentrations for a delivered dose 50Gy of Cobalt-60gamma radiation. The obtained glow curve from the optimum sample with 0.005% Cu2O concentration is simple with single glow peak. The annealing procedure and heating rate are determined. TL response within the dose range of 0.5–100Gy, minimum detectable dose, reproducibility and fading are investigated. The results show that the new glass sample has good TL properties for radiation dose evaluation.
