Description
Summary:Two mixtures of insulating ternary magnetic Co1−xMnyFex−yCl2·2H2O, well separated in composition space, are examined here by susceptibility and magnetization measurements. Different competitions between anisotropies and exchange interactions occur in such mixtures. High temperature susceptibilities are Curie–Weiss like, while antiferromagnetic maxima appear at low temperatures. Irreversibility effects are also evident, e.g., thermoremanent magnetization decay. Some correlation of observed transitions is possible using pairwise relative binary compositions for ternary mixtures.
