Depth-resolved eddy-current detection with GMR magnetometer

The readout electronics of the giant magnetoresistive (GMR) magnetometer for detecting the low-frequency eddy-current signal is investigated. In feedback mode, the GMR magnetometer can sense the bipolar magnetic field up to ±16 gauss with a constant field-to-voltage transfer function at frequencies...

Description
Summary:The readout electronics of the giant magnetoresistive (GMR) magnetometer for detecting the low-frequency eddy-current signal is investigated. In feedback mode, the GMR magnetometer can sense the bipolar magnetic field up to ±16 gauss with a constant field-to-voltage transfer function at frequencies up to 10 kHz. The capability of the GMR magnetometer in depth-resolved eddy-current detection is demonstrated.
