Summary:Batik workers have occupational risk for developing neuromuscular disorders. The process of Canting requires carefulness and precision which forces them to look down while sitting for a long period of time. Neuromuscular disorders in this case are Neck pain, Low back pain, Carpal tunnel syndrome and Vertigo can arise if the batik workers do their work with the wrong posture and less ergonomic position continuously. Prevalence of neck pain, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and vertigo in batik workers at Lendah Subdistrict, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta. Descriptive study using primary data with Cross-Sectional design which the study population included 60 batik workers. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The research instruments used were symptom based history taking, physical examination. The prevalence of neuromuscular disorders in batik workers are Neck pain 51,1%, Carpal tunnel syndrome 43,96%, low back pain 35,17%, and vertigo 11,5%. The subjects in the age groups of 36–50 years old, female sex, duration of work as pecanting more than 5 years, normal body mass index. Study can be concluded that the highest prevalence of neuromuscular disorders in batik workers is Neck pain, at Lendah Sub-district, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta.
