Summary: | •more active, effective, reusable and eco-friendly imidazolium functionalised copper (II) catalyst for the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction at 40 °C.•The significant of present method are (1) wide substrate scope, (2) easy separation, (3) green route synthesis, (4) solvent free (5) less catalyst loading (0.001 mol%), (6) high reaction rate 12.85.•The procedure is easy and does not require special precautions.
In this communication a more active, effective, reusable and eco-friendly imidazolium functionalised Copper (II) catalyst for the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction at 40 °C. Some key benefits of the C(sp2)-C(sp2) reaction include operational simplicity, a wide range of substrates and high yields, environmental friendliness, a high reaction rate, small catalyst loading (0.001 mol%), and recyclability (up to 8 cycles). These techniques may offer new views for the catalytic mechanisms of C(sp2)- C(sp2) coupling reactions catalysed by [Gmim]Cl-Cu(II).
