Description
Summary:Abstract PURPOSE Bladder diverticulum in children is a rare pathology, being congenital etiology one of the most common causes. Diverse surgical techniques exist: open surgery intra or extravesical, transurethral endoscopic resection, extravesical laparoscopic approach… MATERIAL AND METHODS We reported the case of laparoscopic vesical diverticulectomy in a 8 years old boy with right posterolateral diverticulum in a CUMS that was confirmed after cystoscopy. Clinically he referred ITUs of repetition, miccional urgency and polaquiuria. The surgery passed without incidences. The uretral catheter was removed on day 14 postoperative after verification of absence of leakage in the control gravity-fill cystogram. Currently he is asintomatic. CONCLUSIONS Laparoscopic diverticulectomy could be a good alternative to open surgery, but yet we have few cases to generalize the technique.
