A novel visible light response BiO2−x photocatalyst was developed via a facile hydrothermal method, which was systematically characterized by multiple techniques. The photocatalytic activity was also evaluated by the degradation of MO under visible light irradiation. The results showed that BiO2−x possessed a typical hierarchical structure assembled by hexagonal platelets. It showed superb photocatalytic activity and moderate stability, suggesting promising potential application in environment treatment. |
