Description
Summary:•ZTA/HCCI composite was prepared by casting and the annealing process was studied.•The composite annealing at 780℃, the hardness of the components got the lowest.•Fe and O formatted the diffusion layer under the high temperature holding process. In this study, the soften annealing process of the ZTA ceramic particles reinforced HCCI composite has been investigated. With the annealing temperature from 860℃ to 780℃, the hardness of the HCCI matrix decreased from 603.44 HV to 444.78 HV, and the hardness of ZTA ceramic particles decreased from 1536.29 HV to 1324.30 HV. The EDS elements map results indicate that the content of the diffusion layer is mainly Fe-O mixture. The high constant of Fe and O element diffuse to format the diffusion layer under the high temperature holding process.
