Summary: | In this work an attempt has been made to study the effect of shot peening parameter variation on tensile strength strength of EN8 using a compressed air shot peening machine. The shot peening parameters such as pressure, angle of impingement, distance and exposure time are varied according to Taguchi orthogonal matrix and the specimens are prepared as per ASTM standards and tested. A statistical analysis software MINITAB is used to analyse the data and the optimal process parameters are identified. |
