Description
Summary:Eight mathematical expressions developed in the form of ‘3T’ models, represent fabric comfort by tactile, thermal and transport of moisture vapor characteristics. The eight tactile characteristics tested and used for evaluation are: Tensile Modulus (TM1&2) measured on Instron and Bi-Axial Stress & Strain Tester (BASS);Tensile Elongation (TE%); Tensile Relaxation (TR%); Compression Resilience (CR%); Drape (DR%) and Bending Rigidity (BR%) and Frictional Coefficient (MIU) measured on combined Drape & Stiffness Tester (DST). The total influence of tactile and comfort characteristics are evaluated by means of ‘Octagonal Diagrams’ using of eight tested fabric properties and estimated ‘3T’ values. A correlation matrix developed by statistical regression analysis is presented for the ‘3T’ models and fabric properties.
