Description
Summary:A composite material is made up of two or more constituent materials. The constituent materials differ in their physical and chemical composition. Composite materials are widely used in the aerospace and automotive industry. Nowadays researchers and engineers have begun to show their research interest in the field of natural fiber composites. The reason is that natural fiber composites possess enhanced corrosion resistance, ease of manufacturing, environmental friendly, and last but not the least is the easy availability of the raw materials which are required for the fabrication of the natural fiber composites. In the present experimental work, Kenaf-Aloe Vera-Jute Reinforced Natural Fiber Composites are fabricated by Compression Molding Method and are tested for their mechanical properties such as Tensile Strength, Flexural Strength, and Impact Strength. Also, the fabricated composite materials are tested for its wear properties. The composite specimens for the testing of the above mentioned mechanical properties as well as for the wear properties are prepared as per the ASTM Standards.
