Summary: | Benzimidazole substituted with 2-mercapto-N-methyl imidazole and its zinc complexes were synthesised and characterized by spectral techniques. The conductance values indicated the non-electrolyte nature of the complexes. Based on spectral evidence, tetrahedral geometry has been proposed complexes. Ligand and complexes showed positive results when plant growth enhancement activities were studied using Protocorm Like Bodies (PLB’s) of Oncidium. |
