Summary: | A novel modified carbon paste electrode was employed for the sensitive determination of dopamine (DA) with good sensitivity. Boric acid modified carbon paste electrode (BMCPE) displayed excellent electrochemical catalytic activities towards dopamine (DA). The oxidation overpotentials of DA were decreased significantly compared with those obtained at the bare CPE. Effect of cathodic peak potential (Epc) and cathodic peak current (Ipc) has been discussed. The effects of sweep rate, concentration, pH, substituents and solvents have been evaluated. The overall electrode processes were shown to be adsorption controlled. The effect of this surfactant on Epc and Ipc has been discussed. The electrolytic products were characterized by controlled potential electrolysis |
