Summary:This paper targets to study the fabrication processes and properties of aluminium composites reinforced by Carbon Nanotubes. In view of the manufacturing and fabrication of Al-CNT composites, researchers have adopted different approaches in last few years. Few researchers have successfully fabricated Al-CNT composites but they have confronted common challenges in their fabrication approaches like non-homogeneous distribution of CNTs in Aluminium matrix, agglomeration of CNTs, damaging of the structure of CNTs. In this paper, we have tried to discuss the different remedial approaches and studies for the proper fabrication of Al-CNT composites and their better outcomes. We have also focused on the strengthening mechanisms and morphologies of the composites through microstructural inspections based on earlier studies.
