Summary: | Single crystals of L arginine doped zinc sulphate mono hydrate were grown by adopting slow evaporation method. Crystalline nature of the material was verified with powder X ray diffraction analysis. The presence of zinc, sulphur and L arginine was confirmed through EDAX and FTIR analyses. Optical studies established the transparent nature of the grown crystal. Vickers micro hardness study proved the soft nature of the crystal. Thermo gravimetric analysis established the melting point of the grown crystal. |
