Summary: | Various percentages of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium iodide (BMII) from 1 to 5 wt.% were introduced into the most efficient N-phthaloylchitosan (PhCh) based GPEs with lithium iodide (LiI)-tetrapropylammonium iodide (TPAI) binary salts system. Addition of BMII to the PhCh-EC-DMF-TPAI-LiI-I2 electrolyte improved the DSSC efficiency. The value of the efficiency enhanced to 6.69 % with the JSC of 16.53 mA cm‾2, VOC of 0.62 V and fill factor of 0.65. |
