Investigation of femtosecond laser-induced nitrogen plasma at different pressures

Summary: | This paper describes a study of laser-induced plasma (LIP) formed by the interaction of ultrashort laser pulses with nitrogen. The LIP was studied in the range of gas pressure from 0 to 22 bar in a vessel isolated from atmospheric conditions. The luminescence spectra of LIP and the evolution of its size depending on the pressure in the vessel have been studied. The numerical data of the measurements are presented, the estimated calculations of the temperature from the vibrational spectra of nitrogen molecules are given, an estimate of the conductivity of the laser-induced plasma channel is presented. |
