Summary: | In the present investigation, an attempt was made to utilize sawdust in the development of plastic-based hybrid composites. Fiber-reinforced plastics (FRPs) have replaced conventional engineering materials in many areas, especially in the field of automobiles and household applications. With the increasing demand, various modifications are being incorporated in the conventional FRPs for specific applications to reduce costs and achieve the quality standards. Results showed that maximum tensile strength, flexural strength, hardness and toughness were found for composition G40/S00/E60. |
