Summary: | Natural fibers are one of the abundant resources that exist in nature. They are easily decomposable, bio degradable, renewable and cost efficient. It can be extorted from various plant & animal resources. They are used as reinforcement material in polymers for the growth of natural-fiber composites. The mechanical properties of epoxy resin, reinforced with various natural fiber materials/agricultural by product particles are compared in the present study. This review intends to provide basic and background information of the natural fibers and their composites to trigger new research activities and facilitate development of new variety polymer composites. |
