Summary: | The influence of ultraviolet radiation and high temperature on the physical and mechanical properties of unmodified and composite materials based on the injection molded polyurethane and mixture of tungsten and titanium carbides nanoparticles has been studied. It has been found that the introduction of WC/TiC nanoparticles in the amount of 0.1 mass % into injection molded polyurethane results in the increase in UV resistance (100 h, 140 W/m2) of composite materials by a factor of ∼1.5 relative to the unmodified one. It has been shown that long-term heat treatment (100 h) of polymer material samples at 120 °C does not lead to the significant change in the performance characteristics of unmodified and modified (0.1 mass % and 1.0 mass % WC/TiC) polyurethane; heat treatment at 160 °C increases the tensile strength of modified (0.1 mass % WC/TiC) polyurethane by a factor of ∼2.5 relative to the unmodified one. |
