Description
Summary:Carbon Fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP) wrapping is one of the major methods for repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures. Due to lightweight, high tensile strength and also long-term durability, all this tends CFRP as a major material. In this experimental paper, the different temperatures that are 100 °C, 200 °C, 300 °C, 400 °C are applied and analyze the effects on CFRP wrapped concrete. The experiment is conducted on 150 mm*300 mm size concrete cylinders by wrapping CFRP. CFRP is wrapped on the concrete surface in two methods 1) Exposing concrete to different temperature and wrapped with CFRP(HR)0.2) CFRP is wrapped on the concrete surface then exposed to temperatures (RH). After the analysis of results obtained by experimental studies, CFRP wrapping is gradually increasing the strengths of concrete in 1 & 2 methods, but the deboning of CFRP is observed in both conditions at 4000c. As per experimental results, CFRP wrapping increases the strength of concrete even concrete is exposed to severe temperature conditions up to 300 °C, but strength decreased due to deboning at 400 °C.
