Description
Summary:In the present study, we report the green synthesis of gold nanoparticles (Au-Nps) using chloroauric acid and leaf extract of Citrus limonum. This protocol was found to be efficient due to the application of greener tools like renewable aqueous solvent, plant extract bio-reduction and ultrasonication for the synthesis of Au-Nps with well-controlled morphology. This method helpful for qualitative and quantitative analysis of organophosphate insecticide, “dichlorvos” extracted from samples like soil, cloth, and viscera. The characterization of synthesized Au-Nps was done by EDS, FE-SEM, UV–VIS, TLC, and FT-IR.
