Summary: | In MANETs, energy efficiency and mobility are two indispensable issues where the limited energy mobile node moves in an unpredictable direction, resulting in faster energy depletion and frequent topology changes. Frequent topology changes are the main reason behind the link failures, resulting in a limited Quality of Service. This paper mainly focused on mobility prediction which has an indirect impact on the energy and link quality. For mobility prediction, the network region is divided into zones and hence it is named as Zone Assisted Mobility Aware Multipath Routing (ZM2R) for energy-constrained MANETs. The proposed method makes routing decisions by determining optimal nodes to achieve an optimal Quality of Service with less energy cost. The proposed method is simulated extensively and compared with other conventional methods. The results show that the effectiveness of the proposed approach in terms of Throughput, End-to-End Delay, Energy Consumption and Packet loss Ratio. |
