Summary:The article presents a comprehensive analysis of diamond-abrasive processing of parts during different stages of treatment. The correlation of the material processed and the properties of the cutting fluids applied is pointed out. Experimental data concerning the use of cutting emulsions of different properties in various treatment modes are given. In conclusion the paper points out the necessity of implementing particular cutting fluids at each processing stage. A number of suitable cutting fluids for each stage is suggested.
