Description
Summary:Material and Property analysis of Duplex Stainless Steel due to microstructures formed on the surface. Because of the implication of various solid-state welding processes used to join two or more DSS structures. Many studies and experiments have been done using various methodologies like girth friction welding, friction stir welding, etc. to search for further possibilities. This review article is an analysis of research performed to study the effect of solid-state welding on DSS and its importance. This study shall help various researchers to analyze the importance of DSS and problems generated during its welding. Basquin constants were evaluated. The fatigue strength, notch sensitivity factor, fatigue notch factor were also evaluated for the dissimilar joints. Fatigue strength is correlated with microstructure, microhardness. The tensile properties of the joints were also evaluated.
