Summary: | An insoluble Sulphur doped Tin oxide thin film was fabricated using a low cost and simplified electrospray method. Effect of sulphur over the structural, optical, photoluminescence, electrical results, and magnetic properties were studied. Well grained sulphur powder mixed with tin (II) chloride along with water and methanol sprayed over substrate to form thin film maintained at 350˚C. XRD study reviles the preferential orientation of Tetragonal Cassiterite structured crystals along (110) plane and this indicates presents of sulphur atoms and perfectly incorporated into tin oxide lattice. Optical study shows the transparency increased to 80% in visible region and also the optical bandgap increased to 3.95 eV. Surface morphological shows the disintegration of crystallites size with the increase of sulphur concentration. Whereas photoluminescence spectra shows the presence of ionized oxygen vacancy and it increases the carrier concentration in the thin film. Electrical resistance and magnetic property decrease as an increase of sulphur doping. Sulphur doped tin oxide shows high responses to light intensity compared to undoped sample and Figure of Merit were discussed. |
