Summary: | Micro Electrical Discharging phenomenon is an important machining method adapted at micro level. The process parameters like current, voltage, pulse on time & capacitance are heavily influencing for material removal rate and electrode wear rate in this micro Machining. So to achieve higher material removal rate and minimum electrode wear rate we need to optimize the process parameters of micro EDM like current, voltage, pulse on time & capacitance. In this research work, EN 24 STEEL is used as a work piece and three types of electrodes normal brass tool, cryogenically treated tool and coated tool are used as a tool for micro Machining. Taguchi technique is used as optimization tool to optimize the parameters in this research. Multi response optimization technique topsis is also used to optimize the Micro- EDM parameters. |
