Summary: | Organic material 3-Aminonitrobenzene (3-ANB) crystal of was successfully grown by slow evaporation technique. The grown crystal was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction. Crystal structure, lattice parameter, crystal size, lattice strain, were calculated from XRD data, which are shows the good quality of crystallite and less imperfection in the grown crystal. The crystal was also characterized by UV-visible study. The optical band gap, refractive index(n), absorption coefficient(α), excitation coefficient(E) were calculated by using optical data. Kurtz and Perry powder second harmonic generation (SHG) measurement confirms the NLO property of the grown crystals. |
