Summary: | Demand for Injection moldings components increased day by day. The injection molding process is one of the most versatile methods for mass production of plastics moldings with desired dimensional tolerances. The molds are the assembly of core, cavity, backplates, ejector pins, locating pins and stripper plates, etc. In the Injection Moulding Process, the design and fabrication of Mould is the most critical one. The present study reports the design consideration of multi-cavity mould for products using Polypropylene as material. The mould is designed with the SOLIDWORKS software to produce a fine quality component in consideration of ease of manufacturability and assembly. |
