Description
Summary:In the current study, we describe the fabrication of Electrochromic devices employing WO3 nanocomposite as the electrochromic material. To synthesize WO3, an acidic co-precipitation method was employed. X-ray diffraction and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy were used to examine the physicochemical characteristics of the synthesized material. XRD spectra were used to analyze the prepared sample's structural characteristics. Utilizing FTIR spectroscopy, the composition and optical characteristics of the produced sample were investigated. The electrochemical performance was studied by using cyclic voltammetry, charge/discharge, and chronoamperometry, of prepared sample. Electrochromic performance of fabricated WO3 based ECDs device have been investigated at an operating voltage of ±1.5 V. Our study reveals that WO3 based thin film is commendable material for electrochromic device (ECDs) to begin with and improved performance is needed through appropriate solute.
