Parameter optimization in DP-TIG welding of SMO 254 using TOPSIS

An optimized welding parameter combination is vital for successful weld joints therefore an effort was made to determine the parameters. Square butt joint welding trials were performed on SMO 254 thickness 4 mmby the Double Pulse-TIG welding process (DP-TIG) with ERNiCrMo-10 (Alloy C22) filler. Topi...

Description
Summary:An optimized welding parameter combination is vital for successful weld joints therefore an effort was made to determine the parameters. Square butt joint welding trials were performed on SMO 254 thickness 4 mmby the Double Pulse-TIG welding process (DP-TIG) with ERNiCrMo-10 (Alloy C22) filler. Topick out the optimized parameters association the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS)methodology was applied. Moreover to that Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was utilized to determine the most significant parameters on the overall many objective function. The outcome of ANOVA showed that pulse ratio and mean current had substantial dominance on the overall many objectivefunctions.
