Description
Summary:This work presents the design, construction and test of a multivariable multiplexer, which is tailored to automatically calibrate multifunction calibrators across several function such as AC and DC voltage and current, resistance, capacitance, and frequency. The multiplexer can manage voltages up to 1000 V, currents up to 20 A, resistances up to 1 GΩ, frequencies up to 10 MHz, and capacitances down to 1 nF. The uncertainty contribution of the multiplexer is negligible compared to the multimeter uncertainty. For instance, for DC voltage, the multiplexer introduces an uncertainty of less than 1 μV/V.
