Summary: | As we begin assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on nurses, it is apparent that safeguarding emotional health and the need to provide a support network are key challenges. The 2020 AONL Nurse Manager and Director Fellowship groups were provided ongoing respite and renewal through healer’s retreats. The positive impact of the sessions show that this model is an effective approach to support nurse leaders in maintaining resiliency. This practice is 1 tactic to address the concern of the health and well-being of nurse leaders, and subsequently, the teams they lead. |
