Synthesis, crystal structure study, and antimicrobial evaluation activity of aryl-substituted dihydroisoquinoline oxaziridine

Models of dihydroisoquinoline oxaziridines substituted in position 1 were synthesized from the peracidic oxidation of imines and characterized through the IR, elemental analysis and NMR spectral studies; the crystal structure of 3d was determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction data. All these...

Description
Summary:Models of dihydroisoquinoline oxaziridines substituted in position 1 were synthesized from the peracidic oxidation of imines and characterized through the IR, elemental analysis and NMR spectral studies; the crystal structure of 3d was determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction data. All these compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity. [Display omitted] •Synthesis and Characterization studies of four dihydroisoquinoline oxaziridines.•Structure of compound 3d was established by Single X-ray crystallography.•In vitro antimicrobial screening were studied.•The significant biological effect of the presence of nitro group in this class of compounds.
