Description
Summary:Abstract We present a case of cribriform adenocarcinoma of minor salivary gland (CAMSG) in a 29-year-old lady presenting with a left submental lump. The aim of this paper is to create awareness amongst pathologists about CAMSG as a unique neoplasm within the low grade salivary gland tumour category. The WHO 2005 classification of salivary gland tumours includes CAMSG as a provisional entity without a clear statement as to whether it represents a genuine entity or mere variant of polymorphous low grade adenocarcinoma (PLGA). However, considering both tumours in relation to location, cytology, histology, behaviour and prognosis; we are convinced that CAMSG represents a distinct pathological entity.
