Description
Summary:The effects of non-Newtonian plastic deformation of a Cu-based amorphous alloy (Cu50Zr50)92Al8 in the super cooled liquid region on the isothermal crystallization behavior and mechanical properties of the amorphous alloy were investigated. The results showed that the non-Newtonian deformation could promote the isothermal crystallization process of the alloy, and the main isothermal crystallization products were the CuZr phase with a cubic structure (B2 phase) and its Martensitic phase. The alloy after the non-Newtonian deformation and the isothermal annealing exhibited a yielding point at the initial stage of deformation on its compression stress–strain curve, which may be caused by the stress induced martensite transformation.
