Study of anisotropic compact stars by exploring tidal deformability
In this paper, the effect of anisotropy on the tidal deformability of a compact neutron star is investigated. In particular, it is possible to quantify the tidal Love number, which is defined by tidal deformability. Tidal Love number provides the estimation of the tidal deformability of the binary s...

Summary: | In this paper, the effect of anisotropy on the tidal deformability of a compact neutron star is investigated. In particular, it is possible to quantify the tidal Love number, which is defined by tidal deformability. Tidal Love number provides the estimation of the tidal deformability of the binary system in response to the external gravitational field. The effect of anisotropy and compactness factor on the tidal Love number has been examined for a specific class of solutions that describes an anisotropic compact object.
•A class of solutions for an anisotropic compact star is investigated.•The effect of anisotropy on the tidal deformability has been studied.•We quantify the tidal Love number via tidal deformability.•The effect of compactness factor has been examined. |
