Description
Summary:We consider the behaviour of mixing reacting compressible flows with inflow–outflow boundary conditions corresponding to the injection of reactants, fuel and oxidizer in a bounded region. Analytical results on the existence of solutions for small time and data are given in the two-dimensional case, using extensions of the techniques of Valli and Zajaczowski [Navier–Stokes equations for compressible fluids: global existence and qualitative properties of the solutions in the general case, Commun. Math. Phys. 103 (1986), 259–296]. As well, computational results are presented using finite difference methods.
