Summary:Most studies show that mucoepidermoid carcinoma is one of the very common malignant salivary gland neoplasms. It occurs in a wide age range, often in the parotid gland but may affect the accessory glands and presents as an asymptomatic increase in volume. The present study aims to report the case of a 37-year-old female patient who was referred to a private stomatology service presenting a submerged mobile nodule covered by an intact and painless mucosa in a jugal mucosa with a 15-day evolution. Mucoceles and benign lesions of the accessory salivary gland were suggested as diagnostic hypotheses. An incisional biopsy was performed, and the report was mucoepidermoid carcinoma. The patient was referred to a head and neck surgeon for removal of the lesion and is followed up without complications.
