Polarization resonance on S–D two-photon transition of Rb atoms
This work describes the observed effects in the polarization resonance of the 5S 1/2–5D 5/2 atomic transitions of 87Rb atoms induced by both Faraday effects and coherent light induced anisotropy of the atoms when immersed in different levels of constant magnetic field intensities. Specifically, line...

5/2 atomic transitions of
87Rb atoms induced by both Faraday effects and coherent light induced anisotropy of the atoms when immersed in different levels of constant magnetic field intensities. Specifically, linear collision broadening and frequency shift of the polarization resonance, as a function of Rb atomic gas density, were measured in a temperature controlled magnetically shielded cell. From the results, density-dependent line broadening and line frequency shift were observed with the coefficients of (3.53
