Summary: | Most lasers are operated in a single mode (TEM
00) in which the distribution of energy is Gaussian. This spatial distribution of energy is an important parameter in many laser applications such as material processing, holography, medicine, and optical data processing. In this work, we have used a folding method in one and two dimensions, the nonuniformity and the efficiency of the method are calculated, and have also proposed an optical device for folding experimentally. The eccentricity of the laser beam of a circular aperture of the device is also analyzed. |
