Summary: | Optical parametric amplification of multi-frequency seed pulses generated in a mixture of compressed hydrogen and methane by stimulated Raman scattering of 1ps, 1kHz laser pulses at 395.8nm has been studied. Efficient generation of spectrally narrow ultrashort pulses with a spatial distribution close to the Gaussian profile of the pump beam was obtained in the visible and near infrared ranges. |
