Summary: | Light collection processes for X-ray and soft gamma radiation detectors were simulated for various detector constructions, reflector types and roughness of detector surfaces. The experimental study of light output and pulse-height resolution of the CsI:Na and NaI:Tl detectors was carried out to check the simulation results and to find out optimal conditions that could maximize scintillation parameters. |
