Description
Summary:We have presented experimental observation on a bilayer organic photodetector (OPD), composed of CuPc/BPPC heterojunction, synthesized by thermal evaporation method. An improvement of the device performance is achieved through thermal annealing treatment of the device at 90 °C. The value of responsivity of the device annealed at 90 °C is found to be 0.008 A/W at wavelength 650 nm and zero bias. The same annealed device exhibits response time of 18 ms and recovery time of 18 ms. These results strongly suggest the use of bilayer CuPc/BPPC heterojunction as a favorable active material in visible light detection applications without consuming any external power supply.
