Summary: | This article will focus on the role that diagnostic and interventional radiologists play in actively managing metastatic bone disease. The radiologic appearance of osseous metastases, and imaging features suggesting high impending fracture risk, and screening strategies for skeletal metastases will be reviewed. The feasibility, prudency, and accuracy of percutaneous bone biopsy, and the indications for a range of minimally invasive therapeutic treatment options for skeletal metastases will also be considered. |
