Neutron scattering study of Fe(Se1-xTex)0.92(x=0.75,1)

Magnetic fluctuations of Fe(Se1-xTex)0.92(x=0.75,1) are investigated by using neutron scattering technique. Non-superconducting FeTe0.92 shows a pronounced magnetic fluctuation around |Q|≈0.9Å-1, which is slightly smaller than the magnetic ordering vector |Q|≈0.97Å-1(Q=(0.5,0,0.5)). On the other han...

Description
Summary:Magnetic fluctuations of Fe(Se1-xTex)0.92(x=0.75,1) are investigated by using neutron scattering technique. Non-superconducting FeTe0.92 shows a pronounced magnetic fluctuation around |Q|≈0.9Å-1, which is slightly smaller than the magnetic ordering vector |Q|≈0.97Å-1(Q=(0.5,0,0.5)). On the other hand, superconductor Fe(Se0.25Te0.75)0.92 shows a magnetic fluctuation at |Q|≈1.2Å-1, which is close to a reciprocal lattice vector Q = (0.5,0.5,0.5) or (0.5,0.5,0), at higher energies. This result suggests that the AF fluctuations characterized by 2D vector Q=(0.5,0.5) may play an important role in superconductivity.
