Summary: | We present a scheme for realizing two-qubit quantum phase gate using a three-level artificial atom with cyclic population transfer. In this scheme, the “atom” interacts with a bimodal cavity, and a classical field is synchronously coupled with its two lowest energy levels. Operation of the logic gate only involves metastable states of the “atom”, thus is not affected by spontaneous emission. |
